(Holy Sheet is a section dedicated to fun-sized reviews of sheet masks I've tried. I am not affiliated with or sponsored by these brands.)

LuLuLun is a Japanese skincare company, most popular for their sheet masks. As with the Neogence mask, there aren't many English-language reviews for this particular variant, so I'll be sharing my thoughts on this.

The LuLuLun Precious line is meant to be used on a regular basis, which is why they come in packs of 7s and 32s (this one is the 32-mask version).

The Red line is, according to their promotional material, deeply moisturizing and targeted towards mature/aging skin.

Translated this myself from Japanese, so apologies for any errors!
Ingredients: Water, glycerine, propanediol, PEG/PPG-polybutylene glycol-8/5/3 glycerine, rice bran oil, tsubaki seed oil, rice bran glycosphingolipid, quince seed extract, rice bran extract, hydrolyzed rice extract, sake extract, Japanese plum extract, yeast extract, hydrogenated lecithin, lysolecithin, sorbitol, isostearine acid, polyglycerin-10, xanthan gum, citric acid NA, hydroxylyzed sodium, phenoxyethanol. methylparaben, plant extract additives

Rice, rice powder, and especially rice water have long been used in many Asian cultures as part of their skincare regimens. Though the effectiveness of rice as a skincare ingredient has not been researched extensively, it is believed to have skin brightening properties.

The mask claims to be an extremely thick, luxurious, very moisturizing sheet mask targeted towards mature/aging skin. It contains four different kinds of rice-derived components, and three Japan-sourced ingredients (tsubaki seed oil, sake extract, Japanese plum extract). All translations my own, so apologies for any inaccuracies!

I used this mask every day for five consecutive days, and I think this was an okay mask. Each mask was absolutely soaked and dripping in essence, and easy to remove from the packaging. It clung well to my face, not so much to the chin/neck area, and started drying around the 40-minute mark.

It does decent (not great) moisturizing and slight (temporary) brightening. As for anti-aging, I don't think a sheet mask can turn back the clock, you know? Or, at the very least, I'd probably have to use this for several months to see some real effects. Personally, I don't think I have the patience to commit (wow) to one mask variant for a month.

The only thing I can really criticize about the mask is the size/fit, especially if you're used to the size of Taiwanese and Korean sheet masks. This is definitely a mask made for smaller faces, and even then, it required some pulling here and there on my end to fit properly. I found the eye holes in particular too small for my liking, which made it mildly uncomfortable to keep on for a long time.

Just a little bit bigger than my hand. Look how saturated it is with essence tho

The eyeholes are barely big enough for my face, the nose flap is too wide

A side note: Do not use this mask if you've put on something with salicylic acid. I made the mistake of masking after I applied Glossier Zit Stick to a nasty pimple, and it made that particular area sting.

It's an okay mask. This may appeal to you if: (1) You don't mind a smaller than usual mask; (2) You're conscious of your trash output (one box with 32 masks is not exactly zero waste, but at least you don't have to throw away 32 pieces of plastic/foil packaging); (3) You want a decent sheet mask that gives you value for money (price breakdown below); and (4) You don't get bored of your sheet masks easily, you just want one that works.

I'd use it if someone gave me a box, but I wouldn't run out to purchase it myself, at least not now.

HM sis: P1,175 at Beauty Bar branches and on their website, making it come out to around P37/sheet. Considering the ingredients, that's incredible value for money. Beauty Bar also sells the 7-sheet pack for P350 if you want to try it out before committing to the 32-sheet box.

In the US, the 32-sheet box is available on the LuLuLun USA website for $25, and the 7-sheet pack is $7 (P366).

In Japan, you can find the 32-sheet box at Don Quixote branches (I think I saw this in Loft as well) for ¥1,600+tax (~P768), and the 7-sheet pack is ¥450+tax (~P216).
